Hi everyone,
My goodness, how is it 11 months already? Things are happening so fast, I’m just glad I have you all here to share it with. Besides, I am getting old now, so I might need you to remember some of this stuff for me. Oh wait, I’m blogging this! See, my memory is slipping at my old age……..And speaking of being old:
I got a JOB! Let’s face it, I can’t live with my parents forever. And as I get older, I’m going to need to afford a bigger crib, so I decided it’s time to enter the workforce. But where to begin? Fast food? Grocery store? Though these are all great ways to build a work ethic, I decided to go straight for the top. So, I sharpened my crayons to write my resume, put on my best diaper and started interviewing. And what do you know? Ladies and gentlemen, I am not part of the dysfunction and underappreciation that is Corporate America:
Plus, I look good doing it. I’ll be promoted in no time! They kept asking me if I wanted to put into my 401k. I had to tell them to slow down, I can’t count that high just yet.
Now on top of being a working stiff, I’m also peddling my book writing skills. Turns out there was a demand for my “Daddy Needs a Beer” story. After some intense negotiation and letting publishers jockey for position, I finally got my words in print. The only thing is, there some weird thing where they don’t want babies taking credit for writing books themselves. Reluctantly, I decided to let my dad take the credit for it. I’m OK with it, my parents control my assets until I’m 18 anyway 🙂
But enough about work, there’s fun to be had! Football season sadly came to an end. Congratulations to that team wearing red that beat the other team…..wearing red……..
As I don’t have a favorite team I decided to stay neutral. Maybe one day I’ll pick a favorite, but for now, my mommy and daddy love playing this thing called “fantasy football”. Sounds like fun to me, I get to watch lots of different football games at once. Go Football!
Football isn’t the only sport around though. My Pop-Pop went to this place a bunch of people go to sit in rooms and be told things. He went there for a lot of years, and wouldn’t you know it, they have a basketball team! He loves this team and he’s been super excited to take me to a game. He keeps calling them the Torrendo…..The Tornado……The Torerbo…..something like that, I’ll just call them Pop-Pop’s team! My GiGi and Pop-Pop are so much fun to be around, they can take me anywhere! Plus, if you’re going to go to a game, you must get the good seats!
He also keeps telling me when I’m older he’s going to take me golfing. Golfing…..let me get this straight. You’re going to give me a stick, tell me to hit things with it and I get to put a ball in a hole? Why do I have to wait until I’m older? Sign me up Pop-Pop, if Arnold Palmer can get a drink named after him I’m just getting started!
Well, my friends, it’s time to go. I have to start planning my 1-year birthday party. There are tents to rent, aminals to procure, legal waivers and permits to sign, no-fly zones to secure, you know, a typical 1-year-olds party. I’ll be back to tell you all about it soon. Until then, thank you all for being here and I’ll be back soon!
